Atalan Tech is a start-up with a mission to improve the wellbeing and retention of healthcare workers
through predictive analytics and evidence-based best practices. We are expanding our team and looking
to hire the critical role of Junior Software Developer (Full Stack). The Junior Software Developer (Full
Stack) will work closely with the engineering and product team and report to the Principal Software
Engineer.
The Junior Software Developer (Full Stack)’s primary responsibilities include contributing to the
development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that align with business requirements
and deliver an exceptional user experience. This individual will collaborate closely with the Principal
Software Engineer and cross-functional teams to implement features, resolve bugs, and enhance system
performance. Familiarity with the software development life cycle enables this person to participate
effectively in design discussions, write clean and maintainable code, and ensure adherence to best
practices. The Junior Software Developer (Full Stack) is expected to learn and apply new technologies,
assist in code reviews, and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the development
process. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both
independently and as part of a team under guidance from the Principal Software Engineer.

Typical Tasks and Responsibilities include:
● Assist in developing, testing, and deploying software applications.
● Collaborate with the team to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
● Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
● Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from experienced developers.
● Work with the team to deliver projects on time and meet business requirements.
● Document processes, technical details, and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.
● Familiarity with: Svelte, Sveltekit, Drizzle, Postgres, AWS, Git
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent
practical experience.
● 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
● Proficiency in at least one programming language Javascript.
● Proficiency in technologies such as, Svelte, Sveltekit, AWS
● Basic understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred).
● Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
● Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
● Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
● Open mindedness and willing to try and iterate and experiment with new ideas.
● Ability to code without the help of LLMs (due to the sensitive nature of our client data).
